摘要: ABSTRACT:Background: Although many more mothers of almost all ethnic groups began prenatal care in the first trimester during last decade, a significant number low-income and minority women still fail to obtain adequate United States—a failure that may be related their dissatisfaction with experience. This study sought examine relationship between satisfaction subsequent utilization among African-American using prospective methods. Methods: A sample 125 Medicaid 275 non-Medicaid adult seeking through large Midwest managed organization were interviewed before or at 28 weeks’ gestation one two sites. Women about personal characteristics, experience, ratings (satisfaction). Information use was obtained retrospective medical record review after delivery. Univariate multivariable analyses examining women's conducted dichotomous measure continuous utilization. Results: highly satisfied care, an overall mean score 80.3. Non-Medicaid significantly (p < 0.05) less (mean score, 79.1) than 82.8), latter had fewer visits on average former interview. Analyses showed no difference according whether woman high versus low level interview. Conclusions: challenges assumption improving woman's will lead increase adequacy her utilization. Since this limited is utilization, negative findings do not yet settle area inquiry. Monitoring both fee-for-service settings working improve those aspects associated decreased warranted.
