摘要: Abstract We study the evolution of allele frequencies for infinitely large populations subjected to mutations and assortative mating. Haploid individuals are described by two biallelic genes, assortativity is introduced preventing mating between whose alleles differ at both loci. In absence mutations, leads disappearance one alleles. However, a particular combination loci maintained constant. show that this remains constant even when present, revealing robustness epistatic correlation non-random mechanism. obtain equilibrium solutions arbitrary values mutation rate provide description dynamics on basis bifurcation analysis.
