Architectonic and diagnostic significance of hair cortex and medulla

摘要: Architectonic of hair and spines was studied in 345 mammalian species using scanning electron microscopy. A consistent terminology system spine cortex medulla is proposed. The significance the structural patterns for taxon identification adaptation to environmental conditions are discussed.
