摘要: We have estimated DNA sequence variation within and between two populations of Drosophila ananassae, using six-cutter restriction site at vermilion (v) furrowed (fw). These gene regions are located close to the centromere on left right X chromosome arms, respectively. In fw region, no polymorphism was detected each population. v average heterozygosity per nucleotide very low in both (pi = 0.0005 Burma population, 0.0009 India population). estimates significantly lower than those from loci more distal regions. The distribution polymorphisms also striking. At fw, three fixed differences were (two one insertion/deletion approximately 2 kb). v, high frequency total sample nearly or other although none them reached complete fixation. observed pattern reduced appears correlate with recombination rate. conclude that recent hitchhiking associated directional selection is best explanation for this pattern. data indicate different selective sweeps occurred populations. possible role genetic rapid population differentiation restricted discussed.
