Graphite formation by the dissolution—precipitation of carbon in cobalt, nickel and iron

摘要: Abstract Studies have been made of the reorganization carbon deposited on cobalt, nickel and iron. Well oriented films graphite can be prepared by dissolving amorphous in cobalt at high temperatures, film being produced precipitation cooling. Carbidic intermediates do not appear to involved. No such deposits could obtained iron, apparently as a result formation stability iron carbides.
