摘要: OBJECTIVE To measure the prevalence of and trends in HIV infections populations defined by sentinel surveillance Vietnam. METHODS Surveillance was conducted eight provinces 1994, expanded to 12 1995 20 1996. It is primarily associated with use, but its extent varies widely throughout country. In 1998, rates ranged from 0 85% (median, 13.1%), an aggregate rate (APR; i.e., sum HIV-positive study subjects divided all tested provinces) 17% among IDUs; this 14.7% 0.8%), APR 2.4% FSWs; 6% 0%), 0.9% STD patients. APRs antenatal women army conscripts less than 0.15%. increased significantly 1994 1998 patients (p < .001), FSWs TB .05) original provinces. also younger age groups IDUs FSWs. CONCLUSION Vietnam's increasing predominantly most rapidly IDUs. However, are rising still low Vietnam, at present, early phase has time take effective appropriate actions.
