摘要: The lymphokine IL-2 plays a central role in immune regulation. Recent clinical trials have shown that when administered systemically either alone, or combination with lymphokine-activated killer cells, can cause regression of metastatic tumors some patients variety otherwise refractory cancers. To evaluate the mechanism vivo action IL-2, as well toxicity associated its administration, we studied cytokine-mRNA expression circulating PBMC cancer undergoing treatment high dose IL-2. Before found low level no evidence PBMC. After infusion, showed enhanced proliferative activity and contained significant levels mRNA for TNF-alpha IL-6 p55 IL-2R, Tac, but coding granulocyte-monocyte-CSF TNF-beta (lymphotoxin). IL-1 beta was expressed at very after infusion. Each these cytokine -mRNA was, however, inducible vitro by stimulation alone. results studies suggest may be physiologic inducer TNF which, because their pleiotropic effects, important endogenous signals body's response account changes seen receiving
