摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the seeding process for aerobic microbial granules. Microbial granulation is a exploited in biological wastewater treatment whereby bacteria are organized into highly structured suspended granules that capable of removing biodegradable organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus. The addition previously grown biomass as starter culture common approach plants to start up conventional activated sludge anaerobic digestion processes after technological accidents or failure. Therefore, similar can be used with granulated biomass. There some known commercial application seeds upgrade initiate treatment, example, product ARGUS consisting from chemical, pharmaceutical, food industries, well oil refineries, landfills, pig, poultry farms cases existing plant not working properly should upgraded new complex toxic chemicals. Studies also suggest it better stable use particles disrupted ensure their further growth matured
