Comprehension of syntax in infantile hemiplegics after cerebral hemidecortication: left-hemisphere superiority.

摘要: The ability to discriminate the meaning of spoken statements varying in syntactic form was compared infantile hemiplegics after right or left hemidecortication. Right hemidecorticates, relative operated group matched for Verbal IQ, showed superior comprehension passive negative, but equivalent active affirmative and sentences. After perinatal cerebral pathology subsequent decortication, skills are not mediated equivalently by remaining hemispheres.
