摘要: A flowing nutrient culture system permitted relatively rapid determination of the steady-state net nitrogen influx by an intact barley ( Hardeum vulgare L. cv Kombar and Olli) plant. Ion-selective electrodes monitored depletion ammonium nitrate from a solution after single pass through root cuvette. Influx at concentrations as low 4 micromolar was measured. Standard errors for sample size three plants were typically less than 10% mean. When grown under identical conditions, variety bred cold soils had higher rates temperatures one warm soils, whereas high temperatures. Ammonium more readily absorbed both varieties all tested. in equally inhibited
