摘要: Elderly stroke patients and their families were studied to determine 1) the health effects of providing home care on family caregivers, 2) whether or not caregivers actually in experience different than whose members live nursing homes, 3) factors associated with any observed deleterious caregiving. One hundred forty-seven eligible for study. Of these, 101 available follow-up; 89 interviewed (88%). Caregivers reported both positive negative care. When actual compared potential (those institutions), no differences seen. The relationship between each three (general, social, emotional) patient caregiver attributes was explored. No found be related poorer perceived general health. Dependent functional status additional life stress diminished social activity emotional ill-health.
