摘要: This study presents an approximate method based on the continuum approach and transfer matrix for lateral stability analysis of buildings. In this method, whole structure is idealized as equivalent sandwich beam which includes all deformations. The effect shear deformations walls has been taken into consideration incorporated in formulation governing equations. Initially differential equation presented, then shape functions each storey obtained by solution By using boundary conditions matrices functions, system buckling load can be calculated. To verify presented four numerical examples have solved. results samples demonstrate agreement between other methods given literature.
