摘要: Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) is a promising solution to the problem of spectrum inefficiency. Based on Cognitive Radio (CR) technology, DSA allows CR device opportunistically access unused or less crowded while ensuring protection for incumbents. Though shows great potential enhance network performance, its adverse side-effects application QoS may limit usefulness. support in DSA-based not trivial due fact that addition unfavorable characteristics wireless medium, secondary devices must face additional interference and interruption from incumbents have be protected. In this paper, we present case study key protocol necessary provisioning. Specifically, consider personal/portable system supports high quality multimedia (including HDTV) streaming over UHF frequency bands. We model evaluate QoS-oriented together with underlying QoS-Provisioned Protocol (called QPDP) through extensive simulations. The results show effectiveness proposed provisioning approach sustaining levels QoS, e.g., supporting HDTV TV This outcome significant as FCC has recently approved bands unlicensed operations USA, various systems are being actively designed by industry. techniques outlined work can generalized applicable generic design
