摘要: Abstract Non-linear dynamical systems are considered which conservative except for the presence of viscous damping. The initially at rest in a potential well. Harmonic excitation is applied, and approximate conditions escape from well sought. A method described uses harmonic-balance technique to obtain an motion, then compares maximum energy during that motion with barrier. Numerical results presented three one-degree-of-freedom system two-degrees-of-freedom. critical forcing amplitudes plotted as function frequency, compared those obtained by numerical integration equations motion.
