摘要: OBJECTIVES: We sought to review the published literature on value of antibiotic prophylaxis for prevention wound infection that occurs after percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy. also by meta-analysis estimate efficacy in preventing infection. METHODS: performed a fully recursive search randomized, controlled trials against occurring Relative and absolute risk reductions numbers needed treat were derived individual pooled data. RESULTS: identified seven trials, two which did not find statistically significant benefit prophylaxis. After pooling, was found reduce relative 73% 17.5%, respectively. The number prevent one 5.7 (95% confidence interval = 4.4-8.0). CONCLUSION: A single intravenous dose broad-spectrum antibiotic, given approximately 30 min before gastrostomy is effective reducing incidence peristomal infections.
