摘要: The effect of alpha-melanotropin (alpha-MSH) on the rat mesolimbic dopaminergic activity was estimated by measuring changes in dihydroxyphenyl acetic acid (DOPAC) and dopamine (DA) endogenous levels nucleus accumbens (Ac) caudate putamen (CP). A marked increase DOPAC/DA ratios resulting from an DOPAC decrease DA found Ac 30 65 min after bilateral alpha-MSH-injections (1 microgram) into ventral tegmental area (VTA). Similar were observed CP post-injections. These peptide-induced completely inhibited a previous VTA injection atropine microgram), at dose that totally blocked alpha-MSH-induced excessive grooming motor activation. results confirms alpha-MSH affects cholinergic afferent to which modifies system involved alpha-MSH/ACTH-induced behaviors.
