摘要: This paper reviews the effects of alcohol on human psychomotor performance and cognitive function. It concentrates particularly reaction time skills related to car driving. The are very variable at low doses (under 1 g per kg body weight). variability is due different measures methods employed by researchers large interindividual interoccasional differences in alcohol. That is, affects people ways it same person differently separate occasions. Greater deficits observed as dose increases tasks become more complex. Although results vary, both nicotine caffeine appear antagonize detrimental performance. Many other drugs interact with alcohol, most important which sedative agents that can combine synergistically produce profound impairment. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
