摘要: Spartina densiflora Brong. is a typical grass in salt marshes of the Patos lagoon estuary, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The species shows morphological adaptations relation to salinity, flooding and, anaerobic soils, characteristic for this stressful environment. principal xerophytic and halophytic observed are lenghwise curling leaves with stomates protected by papilla; increased lignification leaves, rhyzomes, roots glands spread. presence intercellular spaces rhyzomes an adaptation that permits plants survival soils.
