摘要: Abstract We discuss radiation damage to a transmutation system driven by proton accelerator. The transmuter is composed of lead target, beam window, structural wall, subcritical core, and reflector. Because its condition, neutrons are supplied the spallation reaction generated high-energy protons. neutrons, as well fission cause damage. calculated atomic displacement, production rates hydrogen helium, energy deposition, varying effective multiplication factor (keff) fuel transmuter. To vary keff, thickness core was changed. Two types were investigated. One He-cooled particle that contains minor actinides (MAs), other Na-cooled mixed-oxide (MOX) fuel. target window incurred large damages. wall near also had displacement.
