Switchable Single-Polarization Dual-Wavelength Ring Laser Based on Structured PM-CFBG

摘要: A switchable single-polarization dual-wavelength single-longitudinal mode (SLM) erbium-doped fiber (EDF) ring laser is proposed and demonstrated. For the first time, structured polarization-maintaining chirped Bragg grating (PM-CFBG) filter, which has ultranarrow transmission band created by tapering directly on PM-CFBG. Then, stable SLM operation of guaranteed PM-CFBG filter 20-cm unpumped EDF acting as a saturable absorber. Meanwhile, with wavelength spacing \(\sim 0.41\) nm single polarization state experimentally realized. The measured linewidth for each \( kHz 20-dB linewidth.
