摘要: Introduction Pain is a common symptom in cancer patients, and its control management are complex. Despite the high concomitant use of psychotropic drugs among such association pain, inadequate pain control, drug has not been fully determined. This study examined prevalence with use. Materials methods In this cross-sectional study, we investigated 402 medical records obtained by simple random sampling oncology patients at hospital northern Spain from July 2012 to 2014. Adjusted odds ratios (ORs) were estimated together their 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) unconditional logistic regression for each type (anxiolytics, hypnotics, antidepressants). Results The mean patient age was 61.17 (standard deviation ± 13.14) years; 57.5% women, 42.5% men. Pain present 18.4% 54.2%. We found statistically significant between presence anxiolytic (adjusted OR, 3.15; CI, 1.49–6.68) hypnotic 5.19; 1.77–15.25). Inadequate associated greater extent those drugs: adjusted OR use, 4.74 1.91–11.80); 6.09 1.74–21.32). By contrast, no antidepressant 0.99). Conclusion (to extent) poor increased certain drugs, as anxiolytics hypnotics. There appeared be use.
