摘要: A novel compact ring monopole antenna with double meander lines is proposed for wireless local area networks (WLAN) applications in IEEE 802.11b/g/a systems. The designed antenna, fed by a 50 Ω microstrip transmission line, only 32 mm height and 16 width. By introducing horizontal vertical branched strips to closed rectangular strip ring, the can generate two separate impedance bandwidths. Prototypes of have been constructed tested. obtained bandwidths reach about 12% 2.4 GHz band 45.3% 5 band, which meet required bandwidth specification 2.4/5 WLAN standard. Also, good radiation performance gain over frequency ranges obtained.
