摘要: Mast cells are pivotally involved in many diseases with an allergic basis, e.g. asthma and urticaria. In human airways, mast constitute 0.5% of the lining bronchi1 where they ideally situated to interact inhaled allergens. Evidence for cell activation, at least allergen provocation experiments, derives from detection elevated mediators bronchoalveolar lavage fluid2 blood plasma3,4. Similarly, urticarial reactions allergen5 or non-immunological stimuli6–9 is associated a local elevation mediators. The possible therapeutic benefit drugs which inhibit mediator release would, therefore, appear be great. This chapter describes effects on used treatment diseases.
