Synthesis, X-Ray Structures, and Antimicrobial Activities of Nickel(II) and Copper(II) Complexes With Tetradentate Schiff Bases

摘要: Two Schiff base ligands N,N′-bis(5-bromosalicylidene)-1,3-pentanediamine (H2L1) and N,N′-bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthylidene)-1,3-pentanediamine (H2L2) their nickel(II) copper(II) complexes [NiL1] (1) [CuL2] (2) have been prepared characterized by elemental analyses, IR, single crystal X-ray crystallographic determination. The of is monoclinic: space group P21/c, a = 9.680(2), b 21.970(3), c 10.728(2) A, β 119.550(2)°, V 1984.8(6) A3, Z 4. orthorhombic: Pbca, 18.261(2), 12.250(1), 19.742(2) 4416.2(7) 8. Ni Cu atoms in the are square planar coordination. effect on antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans were studied.
