摘要: The Neotropical genus Cephaloleia Chevrolat (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Cassidinae) includes 214 species distributed from the south of Mexico to Argentina. beetles feed mostly on plants order Zingiberales. interactions between and their Zingiberales host is proposed as one oldest most conservative associations. Here we describe a new (Cephaloleia kuprewiczae sp. n.) that feeds two bromeliads (Pitcairnia arcuata Pitcairnia brittoniana, Bromeliaceae: Pitcairnioideae). was previously described histrionica. This study evidence DNA barcodes (COI), larval adult morphology insect diets separates histrionica species.
