摘要: A germicidal absorptive material for use in surgical packings, wound bandages, sanitary tampons and bed sore prevention and/or treatment uses is provided by a foam-like matrix of hydrophilic polyurethane polymer to which application-specific loads disinfectant dye have been made. Polyurethane various densities thicknesses exhibits an exceptional ability absorb different levels number dyes, both basic acidic, such as gentian violet methylene blue, respectively. The relationship between dye-load permits totally-bound pad be used conventional bandage or on surface with the capability preventing incursion external pathogens from entering through pad, where are killed bound-dye. exudate absorbed safely wound-originating also killed. When loaded dye's concentration saturated exceeding bound-dye limit, limited free-dye available delivered wound, particularly deep wounds, rapidly kill wound. free delivery can then replaced exudate.
