摘要: We describe an instrument which measures the cross correlation between two vibration–rotation bands, over spectral regions containing 10 or more lines. A reference gas is contained in a pressure-modulated absorption cell, and responds selectively to presence of this unknown mixture second tube. The only fundamental limitation on selectivity imposed by errors multiplication property band spectra.Laboratory tests show that determining amount nitrous oxide, from strongly overlapped ammonia band, are small.Band parameters for (200) oxide obtained used theoretical model instrument. Satisfactory agreement with laboratory calibrations. model, empirical corrections, then applied solar spectra, zenith atmospheric days shown be 0.24 atm-cm.The performance system compared Strong’s Benedictine slits new proposed combining advantages both.
