摘要: The frequency and significance of gastric parietal cell autoimmunity was assessed in 771 patients with insulin-dependent diabetes (IDD) onset before 30 yr age. Gastric autoantibodies (PCA) were found 4 times more frequently the IDD (9%) than among 600 matched nondiabetic controls (2%). Caucasian female had PCA twice as male patients. Thyroid microsomal frequent PCA, those alone (Caucasian 46% versus 18%, black 25% 2.5%). A history pernicious anemia and/or 25 or 40 families probands PCA. Achlorhydria demonstrated 6 11 (54%) but none seven without six achlorhydria significantly lower uptakes oral radiolabeled cobalamin, serum cobalamin levels, intrinsic factor-R protein ratios their aspirates, plasma ferritin levels None study group IF antibodies juice. Overt neuropathy one patient Young at risk for atrophic gastritis deficiency can initially be identified by screening Many these young already have evidence decreased absorption cobalamin. These then followed complete blood counts to identify requiring therapy.
