摘要: Simulation models, such as the DSSAT (Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer) Crop Models are often used to characterize, develop and assess field crop production practices. In this study, one of Cropping Model, CERES-Maize, was employed characterize maize (Zea mays) yield nitrogen dynamics in a 50-year study at Woodslee, Ontario, Canada (42°13′N, 82°44′W). The treatments selected included continuous corn/maize with fertilization (CC-F) without (CC-NF) treatments. Sequential model simulations long-term (1959–2008), near-surface (0–30 cm) soil mineral (N) content (2000), nitrate loss (1998–2000) were compared measured values. did not provide accurate predictions annual yields, but overall agreement good other researchers have obtained. CC-F treatment, N cumulative simulated by reasonably well, n-RMSE = 62 29%, respectively. CC-NF however, consistently overestimated loss. These outcomes can be improve our understanding effects fertilizer management practices on properties improved degraded soils.
