摘要: This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Sho-saiko-to (Xiao Chai Hu Tang), a Chinese traditional medicine, on gastric function including emptying rate (GER) and intragastric pH in rats. Additionally, GER tolbutamide absorption after oral administration were examined. The measured at 40 min dosing reduced about 70% by pretreatment (500 mg/kg). plasma concentration rats treated with 250 mg/kg dose significantly lower than that control group. Plasma concentrations increased along group co-administered Sho-saiko-to, there significant correlations between GERs levels both time points 20 administration. In using pylorus-ligated rats, elevated pH, but induced no change dissolved content. did not area under concentration-time curve (AUC) up 60 into stomach loop, has been considered minimally contribute whole gastrointestinal tract. These results indicate an inhibitory effect could affect absorption, resulting Furthermore, it is suggested can raise neither dissolution nor tolbutamide.
