摘要: The C3H/lpr autoimmune strain mouse is a model for spontaneous systemic lupus erythematosus. Inner ear structure and function were examined during disease progression to identify correlated auditory system pathology. Onset of the occurred at 2–3 months age was characterized by elevated serum immune complexes, cryoglobulins, antinuclear antibodies. Coincident with onset degeneration stria vascularis. Early edema in apex progressed basalward duration disease. By 10 age, vascularis area smaller brainstem response thresholds elevated. No hair cells seen any suggesting that may be primary anatomic site damage this model.
