摘要: “Special operations” as applied to the US military describe a variety of missions carried out by highly select units from Army, Navy, and Air Force. Individuals in these are subjected notably rigorous selection training preparation for which often extremely physically demanding with limited support larger conventional forces. Special operations required operate under environmental extremes, isolated, austere locations very supplies. Providing optimal medical requires detailed understanding organizational structure Operations Forces, nature missions, administrative tasks must be addressed, acute primary care, preventive medicine management combat trauma this special environment. These issues have not been previously addressed single comprehensive document. This chapter will meet that need; it draws substantially published Textbook Military Medicine.
