Flexibility of a labeled polymer chain: Time‐resolved fluorescence depolarization measurements and their interpretation by a Hinged‐Dumbbell model

摘要: Time-resolved fluorescence depolarization was applied to investigate the dynamics of low-molecular-weight polyethylene glycols (MW 150, 400, 1000, 4000) labeled by fluorescein-isothiocyanate. The analysis measurements revealed considerable flexibility polymer chain. To interpret observed dependence relaxation time polarization anisotropy on molecular weight polymer, a simple freely-hinged dumbbell model developed. properties were investigated computer experiments. found account well for measured data.
