摘要: Multidrug-resistant bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections are major health threats. The Infectious Diseases Society of America has expressed concern on the decrease pharmaceutical companies working antibiotic research development. However, small companies, along with academic institutes, stepping forward to develop novel therapeutic methods overcome present healthcare situation. Among leading alternatives current drugs antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), which abundantly distributed in nature. AMPs exhibit broad-spectrum activity against a wide variety bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites, even cancerous cells. They also show potential immunomodulatory properties, highly responsive infectious agents innate immuno-stimulatory molecules. In recent years, many have undergone or undergoing clinical development, few commercially available for topical other applications. this review, we outline selected anion cationic at various stages from preliminary analysis drug Moreover, consider production delivery tools AMPs, must be improved effective use these agents.
