摘要: CONSERVATION BIOLOGYA $1.4 million program to bring the dwindling Canada lynx back Colorado is mired in controversy after five animals starved death earlier this year. Some critics maintain that effort was doomed from start: Even before first were flown late last year, analyses had suggested animal's main winter prey, snowshoe hare, perilously short supply. Scientists at Division of Wildlife regret starvation deaths but defend reintroduction, which they claim may be their best shot bringing Colorado.
