摘要: Uteroferrin (Uf) is a purple acid phosphatase with bi-iron center. It the major secretory product of porcine uterus under influence progesterone and supplies iron to developing fetuses during pregnancy. Tartrate-resistant phosphatases (TRAP) are clearly similar Uf in many their properties but generally located intracellularly lysosomes. To determine whether intracellular TRAP distinct gene products, cDNA for from pig spleen were compared cDNA. Although no full-length former isolated, 1.1 kilobases was identical nucleotide sequence (1.42 kilobases) region overlap, which included entire 3'-end transcript most open reading frame. purified also had an NH2-terminal amino that corresponded uterine secretions isolated tissues other species, including ones human osteoclastomas spleen. Finally, Southern hybridization analysis two probes specific exons 1 2 strongly suggested presence only single this class pig. A performed on DNA exon-specific probe consistent gene. concluded difference trafficking between secreted TRAP, such as Uf, lysosomes not result distinctive primary polypeptides variability within species ascribed enzymes likely minor posttranslational changes.
