摘要: Abstract Thermophilic (55 °C) mixed culture fermentation (MCF) is a promising technology for converting organic wastes into bioproducts including hydrogen and chemicals. In this study, the effect of pH, partial pressure ( P H 2 ) influent glucose concentration on metabolic distribution in thermophilic chemostat was investigated. The results showed that metabolite composition changed from acetate, butyrate to ethanol, propionate format when pH increased 4.0 7.0. conversion formate found be thermodynamically controlled. Reducing did not significantly increase yield consequently metabolites change much. Lactate accumulation observed only at high concentration. maximum 2.2 ± 0.16 mol/mol-glucose 0.05 atm, while production rate 7.9 ± 0.1 L/(L-reactor·Day) 76.3 mmol/L. Thus, considering operating cost, increasing 76.3 mmol/L work could more practical approach produce MCF. Meanwhile, impacts precedent were negligible chemostat. thermodynamic analysis illustrated mixture butyrate, and/or lactate essential producing
