摘要: Cool season food legumes suffer yield losses from several insects in the field and during storage. The main insect pests are leafminer podborer chickpea; Sitona crinitus aphids lentil; aphids, leafminer, weevil faba bean; Bruchus pisorum, pea. In view of relatively high cost chemical control these low cash crops possible harmful effects on fragile environment, special emphasis is placed an integrated pest management strategy utilizing all practical techniques. For chickpea, resistance screening, application neem extract, use parasitoids have given promising results. Podborer damage also reduced by intercropping, sprays nuclear polyhedrosis virus, microbial insecticide Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt). lentil, seed treatment with Promet effectively controls less disruptive to environment than sprays. aphid lentil bean, threshold levels for combination host plant resistance/tolerance being studied. dosage effective chemicals been identified as well two parasitoids. pea, insecticides most widely used technique reduce densities other pests.
