摘要: Historically, the evaluation of patients with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB) has been often suboptimal, due to limited ability adequately image small bowel. However, over past several years, significant improvements have made in small-bowel imaging techniques, both endoscopically and radiologically. Since introduction capsule endoscopy (CE) particular, diagnostic therapeutic approaches OGIB improved significantly. Capsule-based technology enabled a more rapid accurate diagnosis many disorders. Capsule is safe well tolerated. Many prospective comparative studies shown that yield CE superior compared other endoscopic radiologic modalities. Numerous also leads change management outcomes.
