Fermi Surface of Calcium by the de Haas-van Alphen Effect

摘要: The de Haas-van Alphen effect of calcium has been studied by the torsion method in fields to 33 kG. three periodicities 3.05, 0.77, and 0.57 (${10}^{\ensuremath{-}7}$${\mathrm{G}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$) that were observed had cyclotron masses ${0.3}_{5}$, ${0.6}_{5}$, ${0.6}_{5}{m}_{0}$, respectively, imply areas orbits are agreement with a Few-OPW model small lattice potentials, ${V}_{200}={0.034}_{5}$ Ry ${V}_{111}={0.01}_{4}$ Ry. experimentally-determined nearly twice those given model.
