摘要: The effect of slow crack growth on the failure conditions brittle material subjected to a transient thermal stress in stress-corrosive environment was investigated. A numerical analysis procedure developed for calculating instantaneous values length and intensity factors glass rod sudden decrease ambient temperature under convective heat transfer conditions. demonstrated that significantly decreases required catastrophic failure. form instability is predicted at factor well below K sub IC, where rate increase such becomes inevitable.
