摘要: Digital platforms serve as a foundation upon which manifold firms develop complementary add-ons to address heterogeneous customer needs. In order successfully stimulate partner contributions platform vendors need share knowledge with partners that enables them add-ons. Vendors face trade-off between addressing idiosyncratic needs of while ensuring the scalability sharing. Literature indicates standardized or sharing does not per se result in successful outcomes, but rather depends on how addresses characteristics platform’s architecture. increase our understanding this we derive typology architecture and We conduct an empirical study at large enterprise vendor uncover configurations approaches. distill approaches following set-theoretic approach. Our research progress offers insights into preliminary results gives outlook future research.
