摘要: The Pythia program is a standard tool for the generation of events in high-energy collisions, comprising coherent set physics models evolution from few-body hard process to complex multiparticle final state. It contains library processes, initial- and final-state parton showers, matching merging methods between processes multiparton interactions, beam remnants, string fragmentation particle decays. also has utilities several interfaces external programs. 8.2 second main release after complete rewrite Fortran C++, now reached such maturity that it offers replacement most applications, notably LHC studies. many new features should allow an improved description data.
