摘要: In recent years, the plight of elderly in American society has received in-creasing attention from practitioners social policy and health care, applied researchers field gerontology, public at large. It included cross-sectional examinations biologic, psychologic, sociologic differences between aged young as well investigations aging a longitudinal process. The were first considered homogeneous group individuals, defined by age, with similar needs, attributes, problems. Over time, however, it become clear that are quite heterogenous lot, comprised many different groups their own special characteristics. Black have problems White elderly, poor rich, young-old old-old,1 women men. last five to ten years particular, been accorded older women, especially widows, adaptation.
