摘要: The processing of a visual target that follows briefly presented prime stimulus can be facilitated if and stimuli are similar. In contrast to these positive priming effects, inverse effects (or negative compatibility effects) have been found when mask before the is presented: Responses after dissimilar primes. Previous studies on examined target-priming which arise share features critical for response decision. contrast, 3 experiments present study demonstrate in nonmotor cue-priming paradigm. Inverse exhibited time courses comparable effects. Results suggest do not from specific processes system but follow operations more general.
