E-cooperative design among mechanical and electrical engineers: implications for communication between professional cultures

摘要: This paper looks at the collaborative design activity involved in a experiment of an electromechanical plunger. Much coordination was achieved through Internet-based communication. As mechanical and electrical researchers project, we discuss information exchanges highlighted by our different professional cultures relate how these lead us to propose some methodology improve efficiency virtual meetings. Moreover, show need for new communication tools, ones dedicated specific tasks that are not currently supported, especially shared concept formalization among technical experts.
