摘要: Egypt’s present energy strategy aims at increasing the share of renewable to 20 percent mix by 2020. demand for electricity is growing rapidly (an annual rate increase from 1,500 2,000 MWe) and with time alternative sources power supply become more urgent. Some aspects utilization already made wind solar resources. Despite scares direct utilization, geothermal potential "till now" not included in map Egypt. Majority resources Egypt are mainly located along Gulf Suez Red Sea a surface temperature range 40 - 76 o C. other spots found Western Desert Egypt, close Oasis (Baharia Dakhla). Regarding Suez, previous studies analyses profiles, logging data deep oil wells geo-thermometric parameters referred good potentials, i.e. gradient (45 C /Km) heat flow (120 mW/m 2 ). The fracture faulting systems associated tectonic activity provide continuous circulated fluids. Geothermal assessment reserve estimation assigned figures that can be used installing binary plants. Hammam Faraun spring best location such an investment where estimate 12.4 MWt made. Away some thermal springs (up 35 C) enriched sulphur 25 km south Cairo Helwan city. In hot water produced artesian wells. 3545 These low applications (district heating "especially winter", swimming pools, medical therapy, green houses, etc. A detailed field mapping, geochemical geophysical exploratory work needed future better define potentiality
