摘要: Owing to the potential for prolonged length of stays, increased healthcare costs, and significantly risk mortality, secondary complications traumatic brain injury (TBI) must be recognized early managed appropriately. Conditions such as spasticity, venous thromboembolism, paroxysmal sympathetic hyperactivity, neuroendocrine dysfunction, heterotopic ossification, nutritional deficits, sleep disturbances can all negatively affect functional outcomes community reintegration. Unfortunately, most these complications, there is a paucity evidence treatment protocols in this unique population. The purpose chapter shed light on current strategies optimal management patients with TBI raise awareness controversies limitations practice.
