摘要: Much is already known about the prosodic systems of indigenous South African languages from descriptions and analyses in existing literature. All work has been carried out field studies or formal linguistics. In order to be able implement generalisations obtained into computational models speech processing, sources results must made accessible researchers these areas. opposite direction, modelling Bantu intonation processing shows need for more quantitative data. The present article presents a review durational pitch-related tonal aspects relating languages. Its aim is, on one hand, make Africanist linguistic research laying foundation which speech-processing branch Human Language Technologies can based. On other by pointing gaps our knowledge, it wants draw attention fact that needed advance knowledge also theoretical field.
