摘要: A conceptual framework of attention can be organized .around three functions of. attention: determining how much capacity is to deployed (attention:allocation), for long (attention maintenance) :, and which poteftialCinformataon sources (attention. dkrection). Within this framewoM, several critical distin#ions made between procebsex that have previously been ,reated as unitary.or example, maintenance distinguished from attestrifon allocation since not a passive continuation an initial task, but rather it active sustained processing that, keeps cdpaciiytdeployed. AcIditional distinctions made. procassingkand avoidance distraction ,and within the area 'distraction.
